White people have been pretty shitty in the last few weeks, I don't mind saying, and it's been a bad week for the Constitution, the worst I can remember in long time.
You see, what I'm trying to do here is measure my experience of the world against what I am hearing in the media. Like with so much else in life, I try to be skeptical of the media. Something is not right about this coverage of whether or not the First Amendment still applies. I have a sinking suspicion that the very fact that the media is hammering away at it is making seem as if it is a bigger deal than it in fact is. And yet, by the very act of covering it, they are actually making it a big deal.

It's totally mad. I mean, I remember when they were going after him when he was too radical a black Christian in Chicago! Fuck, people have the attention spans of chihuahuas.
