This Week in Conspiracy (5/31) The almost on time edition!

This week has been a fruitful one, and I have branched out a little to be more inclusive of the nuttiness:

• "Obama Adviser Says Documented UFO/ET Landings On U.S. Capitol Could Destabilize Society." It has a great opening line, really one for the ages:

"Wilbur 'Will' Allen, a former White House employee and Air Force One engineer under U.S. Presidents Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, and Bill Clinton, has stated that Everett Bellamy (Senior Assistant Dean of Georgetown Law Center), on behalf of John Podesta, who is a full-time faculty member at Georgetown Law Center, a former White House chief of staff under President Bill Clinton (1998-2001) and Co-chair of the Obama Transition Team (2008-9), told Mr. Allen that the frequent UFO and extraterrestrial over flights and landings on the U.S. Capitol that Mr. Allen is able to document photographically using state of the art high definition equipment could, if made widely public, “destabilize society,” and urged Mr. Allen to cease his activity documenting these UFO/ET over fights and landings."

Wow. Notice the gulf between the headline and the content of that paragraph. Unhinged unemployed person claims guy says other says something ominous. When I contacted Podesta about this, he replied, "What a fucking douchebag."

• Here's some scary shit. The antigovernment wackjobbies who went on a rampage in Arkansas have a history, documented by the NYT.
• Canada is crawling with secret Jews!
• By failing to carpet bomb Missoula, we failed to raise the average IQ of that state by 40 points.
• Here's something strange. A somewhat optimistic conspiracy theorist. (Don't get me wrong. Even to speak about a supposed conspiracy is to posit that it will make a difference.)
• Prison Planet: LOOK! TWO UNRELATED THINGS! SEE?! SEE!? THAT PROVES...SOMETHING!
• Jesus, New Hampshire.
• Big Government blog editor Mike Flynn should his head out of his ass in chief, because he seems to have published an altered photograph to accompany his report that Obama is sending mobs to terrorize teens. (It seems that the crowd on the hill, a couple of shirts and the poster have been altered.)
• "Come see the violence inherent in the system!"
• Glenn Beck: Clearly Mentally Ill
• Does this smell like the rankest bullshit to you? I refuse to believe it until it comes out of somewhere not Bulgaria.
• Pagan Gnostics say the oil spill has something to do with aliens and the end of the world
• Where can I exchange my dollars for Wocu? (The new world currency, apparently.)
• Conspiracy Con kicks off this week in California. All who show up will be killed.
• The first Gary Coleman conspiracy. Please let it be the last.

Now, can we all just be normal? For once?
