Looks like Bodie Hodge is writing slogans now.
Animala pointed this out to me over at the new website of the "I Am Not Ashamed" campaign, Answers in Genesis' new slogan-for-sale (seriously, it's on everything):
(Click to embiggen.)
Ah! The fruits of Christian homeschooling!
I am hereby starting my own campaign, the I-Am-Who-Am Is Ashamed of Your Slogan Campaign. It is my hope that we will show the world that we too can be ignorant, pigheaded literalists.

Send me a picture of you standing on a Bible--but only unashamedly and uncompromisingly!

Send me a picture of you standing on a Bible--but only unashamedly and uncompromisingly!
Send your photo to littletinyfeardemon at yahoo.com, and we'll show Answers in Genesis who is unashamed-er and uncompromisingly-est!

Part II: "HOLY SHIT! HE IS RISEN! AIM FOR THE HEAD!"
Part III: "God damn it. I know we left him right here. Fuck."
Part III: "God damn it. I know we left him right here. Fuck."
UPDATE: I am going to do the showcase of people standing on Bibles in concert with the Blog Against Theocracy (April 2-4). It was tengrain's idea. I'm all over it.
Update Within an Update: Greetings to the Pharyngulae who are swarming all over this website like some deeply skeptical infestation of aphids. (I'm reading A Scanner Darkly right now.) Thanks to PZ for the link, which is most kind.
I would be remiss, however, if I did not give take advantage of this brief moment of glory to ask visitors to help prevent a decapitation. A fucking decapitation. I know that there is nothing less useful than a psychic, but utter utilitilessness should not be punishable by decapitation. Yet, that is exactly the fate of the psychic Ali Hussain Sibat, about whom I have written recently. Please write to or call the Saudi Embassy, and let them know that punishing a psychic fraud for sorcery makes Islam look even dumber than it in fact is (but be more polite about it). I found a good letter that is appropriate:
I am writing on behalf of the "psychic" Ali Hussain Sibat, who is scheduled to be executed soon on charges of sorcery. Sibat is a performance artist, a pretender who makes money off of the gullible, and it pains me to see the Saudi government legitimize and dignify his ridiculous and demonstrably illusory stage performances with his execution. Please expel this man from your kingdom and exercise the prerogative of mercy.

Let's up the ante, shall we? I stand on the Koran, the Bhagavad Gita, the Bible, and The God Delusion - barefoot.

The toilet in the background is a nice touch. Very uncompromising!
I sit on my bible. (excuse the spelling)
Don't forget the Torah!
I'd send you a copy of a buybull in a garbage can where is belongs, or perhaps pages torn out and used as toilet paper (hey, it's soft!) but I don't own a buybull. However, I do have a plain text KJV and NIV so that I can search for words without having to read that filth.
Why would I waste money buying something that has less value than a tabloid newspaper or promotes hate more than a KKK pamphlet? That makes about as much sense as...well, the buybull.
Weird, I can't help out here. I dont even have a bible.
lol, my captcha word looks like "asplosive"
But which "Bible" should I stand on. The unerring wisdom of God was used to write the bibles but they are all different.
Somebody needs to stand up and tell me which bible is the right one to stand on.
Well, the KJV is the funniest because it's got unicorns, dragons and other fun stuff.
I couldn't resist:

(Just ignore the cankles. I'm a big guy (in more ways than one, if you get my drift).)
This is such an awesome idea. I would do it if I had a bible. Not going to buy one just to stand on it. I'm high enough to reach everything from the floor.
Related comic. (What would Jesus do? Apparently, the same thing.)

as little as i believe in the teachings of the bible, and will soon join others in standing upon one, i find it silly how so many atheists refer to one as not worth owning or reading. bibles are easy to acquire for free. in order to really argue against something, you must understand that which against you are arguing. the bible is our greatest tool in the fight against christian dogma. read a bible. read it well. understand the bible. it is not their shield; it is our sword. also, there are some pretty wild stories in the old testament that would make pretty crazy action movies.
Right after posting our uncompromising feet, it would be interesting to go to the link on the I Am Not Ashamed Website, where we are invited to 'Post Your Passage'.
Another photograph comes to mind, though I'm not sure I'd be able to take it without help ...
If the Saudis go ahead with this, they might as well decapitate all the imams while they're at it.
Letter sent. Thanks HJ. And what a ridiculous and appalling law.
Regarding Ali Hussain Sibat's situation, it might be interesting if John Edward (the psychic, not the politician) were to visit Saudi Arabia. Just saying.
@human michael -
Apparently you weren't brought up in a Christian religion. I had enough Bible, I don't need it any longer and so I don't have one. Lost it. Didn't care to replace it.
It amazes me how many atheists fetishize the bible as something that we need to know in order to refute someone's religion. It's just a book.
@Mike Haubrich
It's a personal choice of mine to know what's in the book. In fact I intend to eventually have a copy of every version out there, both Jewish and Christian, including an ancient Torah scroll, Prophets and Writings (in the ancient Hebrew), and a Septuagint in the original Greek, then use both to my own translation.
It is only for personal use, of course, but if you're like me and grew up in a very liberally religious family, you didn't get that much of the Bible, and I do think it's good to know what's actually in it, mainly to avoid inadvertent strawmen.
My picture of me standing on my copy of the Tanakh (which has my name printed on the cover, though you can't see it in the picture 'cause I'm standing on it) is coming shortly...

A reply to myself... the picture I took was crap, so I'm gonna try again closer to lunchtime after I've had some sleep...
It is 1:45 am EST here, after all...
Not going to stand on my copy of the bible cause I do not want to break my Kindle.
But why not start a counter campaign of I am ashamed of those who are not ashamed......... Logo, lapel pins, tie tacks, bumper stickers, stickers for hotel bibles, etc.
Well, that was fun. Who's for Chinese?

Thank you, Happy Jihad's House of Pancakes, for such a lovely campaign!

mcmcelro--why would you stand on The God Delusion in the same way you'd stand on all those other books?
Feel free... I did!

Could never use shoes as my father was, amongst other things, a librarian...!
This was the only Bible I could find in my office...

Late to the party again. I'll send a photo tonight if I can find one refugee from my Bible Burning Steam Calliope.
