This guy has balls the size of coconuts...
I love the police here. And I am horrified that someone exercising their right to free speech in the park would try to take down Kimmel's banner.
There is real anger in that crowd.

Did you hear the people saying "no public option" who were saying "no" like "baaaaa" like a sheep? ~4m mark or so. It could just be the recording, but it made me lol.
I want to send each of those officers a fruit basket.
He's definitely got some nerve.
And those people aren't for free speech unless it's their own. Remember how they all supported GWB's "free speech zones" which were like a mile away from wherever he was going to be? (Much like they didn't care about the trillions he wasted on his war but now they're screaming about every penny Obama spends) They're so full of dog-poo.
Living in D.C. (or close enough to ride the green line in) I decided to don my Obama shirt and head on down to the mall. I didn't see this little bit of dissent but I got an earful the whole afternoon. The only time I got mad was when some redneck told me to leave his country. I told him to leave my city, and he actually seemed taken aback. I had a few reasonable discussions with some of the teabaggers, but for the most part they were complete asshats (I'd say their children were asshats but they didn't really understand any of the issues, so I'll just say they acted like asshats). At one point it looked like I was going to be attacked but a group of Beck's Bitches (they had signs with almost direct quotes from Beck) vehemently instructed the angry mob that I too had a right to express myself.
It wasn't a fun day but I think I have a better understanding who was on the mall: 1/4 sane people who really just oppose health care (mainly from the tax standpoint), 1/4 people who are too lazy to do anything but listen to Rush and watch FoxNews and thus have no real sense of reality and 1/2 who are certifiably batshit insane and really really pissed. 99.9% of the protesters were white and of the ones I talked to about half used phrases and code words that I considered clues to their racism (my unscientific assessment is that "I want my country back" and "Obama is racist" indicate some racism).
By the way, there were a whole shit load of people on the mall, but no where near a million and certainly not a record amount. There were three times as many for the July 3, 1976 celebration alone.
