AiG: "Discernment Lacking"; HJ: "No shit."

Man, I must come across as such a grumpy man-bitch on this blog. Well, if nothing else it's therapeutic.

When the above headline from Answers in Genesis showed up in my woo aggregator (bloglines), and I read the teaser...

There is a great need in the church to train Christians to be more discerning about biblical truths—and not let those who espouse naturalistic science prompt them to reinterpret Genesis.
...I knew that I would have to write about this.

Two words: NATURALISTIC SCIENCE?!?! WHAT OTHER TYPE IS THERE!?!?!?!

If one step of your solution is "then a miracle happens," you aren't doing science. How can ANYONE take these people seriously. I'd review the whole thing, but I might vomit and this is a new keyboard. You can read this titanic botch, "Discernment Lacking," for yourself.

On the other hand, there is a pretty sweet rush song called Natural Science. Maybe the editors at AiG are rush fans.

Hm. A possibility. However, it seems to me that they would eschew music, since it is of the devil.

"Discernment lacking" doesn't apply to people who believe in talking snakes and invisible sky beings who like to show up on tortillas and screen doors?

Color me amused.
